Jewellery designer Rikke Lunnemann's “The golden plaster” is named winner of the Danish Arts and Crafts Association price 'Håndfuglen' in the category of Best New Product 2010. A plaster/bandage covered with 24 ct. gold leaf.
The plaster is challenging the traditional decoration of the body and also sends a strong signal to the purchase-and-throw-away culture. In its simplicity the work of art points to our tendency to rapid purchases, which are subsequently thrown away as fashion changes.
Rikke Lunnemann found inspiration in her daughter's use of children’s plasters with princess decorations. "For children it is important that the plaster can be seen and that it is noticed by others. It made me think whether adults could use this everyday product as decoration and not just as a practical thing" tells Lunnemann who has developed the golden plaster covered with 24 ct. gold leaf; used on festive occasions. Rikke is a keen user of the plaster - also with cocktail dresses. "You can always simulate an injury......"
Her jewellery collection consists of simple, feminine and sustainable jewellery.

Andersen M Studio
This is a pretty incredible ad for the book "Going West". The book turns into papercut animation that describes what is happening in the book. I just love it.

Design of USB modem
I was earlier this autumn asked by mobile company ”3 ” to participate in the launch of their new USB Internet modem. They had decided to ask 5 designers from the furniture, jewellery and fashion industries to create five unique pieces around the USB stick. The five sticks were displayed in “3” flagship store in Copenhagen and then auctioned away on www.Lauritz.com donating the funds raised for charity.
In the photos you see my design for the stick – “3 in 1”. The design was a decoration for the stick, a ring, and a hair band. It is made from 18 ct gold, diamonds and rubber band.
